Oxidative Stress Overview
Oxidative stress is the adverse effect of oxidants on physiological function. It has been implicated in the progression of aging and disease, and has been shown to be reduced by antioxidants.
The study of oxidative stress is a Core Scientific Focus at Brunswick Laboratories. Analyzing the correlation between inputs, the intake of antioxidants, and outputs, actual changes in oxidative stress levels in physiological fluids, is an integral part of our scientific mission - and is a key to evaluating the role of antioxidants in human health.
That is why Brunswick Laboratories conducts a number of ongoing oxidative stress activities.
- Harm reduction research for tobacco smoke and environmental pollutants
- Oxidative stress baseline analysis from human plasma
- Clinical trial packages to determine "Inputs and Outputs" for health providers
Brunswick Laboratories' emphasis on output, or oxidative stress, is essential to our leadership in the advancement of condition-specific health solutions.
