Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant role will report to a technical director and is responsible for the following:

  • Highly independent, hands-on HPLC and 96-well platereader based assays with limited guidance after training
  • Experience with HPLC or GC strongly preferred
  • Process HPLC and bioanalytical assays using 96-well or other multi-well microplate reader
  • Proficient data analysis and data interpretation via Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software
  • Must be well-organized; Must have high attention to details and precise technical skills to process large number of samples
  • Experience with biological sample handling preferred 
  • General laboratory operation and management
  • Assist senior staff; Work with senior staff closely, collaborate with team members

Qualifications

  • bachelor (BSc) or Master's (MSc) degree in chemistry or related fields; 1-2 yrs of assay development experience required
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Excellent attention to details and precise technical skills
  • Experience from GLP or GMP environment strongly preferred
  • Multi-tasking capability with willingness to learn and grow
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude, and ability to work independently
  • Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills necessary
